The Tutti Bambini CoZee is an award-winning bedside crib that was designed to ensure a peaceful night's sleep in mind. It features a drop-side rail that can be easily lowered to feed your child in the evening without disturbing them or causing them to get out of bed. This is ideal for breastfeeding mothers! It's also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or when traveling.
It's made of soft materials and has mesh sides that breathe to increase airflow. It is available in charcoal or oak and a range of melange fabrics that can be incorporated with most decor styles. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure once attached to her bed. The legs snapped into place and the zippers were secure to ensure safety. It took Anna approximately 10 minutes to put together and did not require any tools. There are clear instructions along with a video and customer service number should you encounter any issues.
Alongside the usual features you'd expect from a crib for your bed such as the ability to be connected to your bed using a stay-in place connection system and six levels of height The CoZee also comes with an additional incline option that can be used to help alleviate reflux or congestion in babies. It's also machine washable, a essential feature for all the dribbles, vomit and snot that come with having a new baby!
If you want to keep your baby close to you during the first six months of their life when they're able to go to sleep on their own The CoZee is a great option as it can also be used as a separate cot, changing table or toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa-bed extension pack, it can be transformed into an actual cot. While it won't magically put your baby to sleep or feed them, it will rock them and send them off.

This is one of Chicco's more expensive models, but it has a wide array of features. It's designed to be used as a side sleeper or standalone crib and is suitable from birth to six months. It features a brand new mechanism for opening and closing the side panel. It's easy to use even with one hand. It is also more adjustable than the previous model, with 11 different height settings as well as legs that retract to fit underneath any bed.
Our testers appreciated the ease of use offered by the side panel, that can be moved up and down with one click of a button. This was a huge benefit during feeding times at night as it meant that they could easily reach inside and take their baby away without waking them up.
It is possible to lower the side panel by it's own, however this is not recommended, because it increases the chance that your child could get out of the cot. The patented safety locking system guarantees that the side panel will remain in place if it's properly attached to the mattress of the parent. This feature is great for peace of mind if you breastfeed and require frequent nighttime feeds.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to work with any bed, including divan bases and beds with drawers due to the legs that telescopic. It features a tilting feature for reflux babies, and a rocking function to help soothe them to sleep after eating. It's also incredibly spacious and provides great ventilation due to its mesh sides.
Our testers found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, however it does come with a long instruction manual. It's heavier than some of the other side-sleepers, but it's very portable and can be moved from room to room with ease. It's small enough to be able to fit into a travel bag when not in use, which is an advantage if you need to transport it. The only downside our test subjects found was that the side panel didn't flex as much as some of the other models, which made it a little harder to see your baby from your own bed.
The Shnuggle Air
If you're looking for an ideal bedside crib that can expand with your child then the Shnuggle Air is definitely worth a look. It's designed to be a sleep-co-sleeping bassinet that is attached to your bed, but can also transform into a stylish cot once your baby is ready, it's ideal for feeding at night and for strengthening your bond with your baby.
The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, unlike some other cribs. Its dual-view mesh sides and breathable, hypo-allergenic airflow mattress maximize airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle slope helps alleviate colic and reflux. The zip-down side lets you to feed your baby, or even comfort them at night.
The kit for converting cots is also well-designed with clear instructions. It includes everything you need. It took us around an hour to assemble and was fairly simple to put together. The only issue with the instructions was that a few images were not captioned. This made it difficult for us to follow. Overall, it was a straightforward process and the quality of the materials used was excellent.
In co-sleeping mode we discovered the Shnuggle Air to be an ideal choice for breastfeeding mothers and women who have had a C-section, as it allows them to comfortably reach out to their infant for feeding and comfort without having to get up from their own bed. It's ideal for parents who don't want to deal with the hassle of putting their baby in a traditional cot or getting them out of it.
The gliding motion was found to be very beneficial in lulling babies to sleep following feedings at night or midday. The drop-down side is also accessible to feed or soothe babies in the middle of the night and was a major benefit for our exhausted test mums. The Joie Roomie Glide is a modern and stylish crib that doesn't rock nor has extra features like the sound machine.
